HinhanWi.casa — A Nonprofit Platform for Immigrant Legal Support

HinhanWi.casa is a nonprofit initiative designed to provide undocumented and vulnerable immigrants with legal clarity and emotional support while maintaining complete anonymity and privacy. Recognizing the fear and complexity faced by many navigating the immigration system, our platform offers a mobile-first, multilingual, AI-powered chatbot (ChanLang) that answers legal questions in plain language and connects users directly to verified immigration lawyers.

The platform’s core principles are:

• Anonymity: No login or personal identifying information is required, protecting users from exposure or surveillance.
• Multilingual Access: Serving Spanish, Somali, Hmong, Amharic, Karen, Oromo, Arabic, and English speakers.
• Cultural Respect: Incorporating shared symbols and themes to foster emotional safety and trust.
• Donor-Supported Legal Aid: Facilitating direct funding for vetted legal cases without government intermediaries.

We are currently assembling a board of directors—a group of dedicated, reliable individuals who share a commitment to justice, privacy, and impactful governance. The board’s immediate priorities will include drafting bylaws and articles of incorporation to submit our IRS Form 1023 application, establishing our 501(c)(3) status so we can begin fundraising and expanding our services.
